Steel beams and slab casting

This structure was constructed with the worse concrete reinforced steels we have ever seen. We arranged a dye-test and density test to see where the water seepage was taking place and established that the area did not have the correct steels or quantity of steels in place. It was necessary to ‘prop-up’ the room below to establish the amount of damage that had been caused to the supporting beam and slab. The following photographs show the extent of damage to the main beam due to in-correct steels and concrete mix. We re-cast the slab and beam in accordance with the local regulations and re-tiled the whole area after testing.
